In Michigan and across the nation, it`s a tough real estate market. We hear it every day. Take a ride in any neighborhood in Southeast Michigan and you will come across a block with at least 4-7 homes for sale. We get asked every day “How can I get my property to stand out from the rest?” Staging ensures that you do everything you can to make your home look its best. Just like a job interview, your home needs to show its best face so it gets the job…and gets SOLD!
HOME STAGING®
Home Staging® is the art of preparing a home for sale to create broad market appeal and the WOW factor. It is turning a home into a house for all to approve of thus selling more quickly and even getting a higher return. A well Staged home allows a potential buyer to envision living in it, creating a vision in their mind of how they can make the house their home. Home Staging has gained recognition in the last five years here in Michigan. Knowledgeable sellers are taking advantage of Staging to have a "one up" on the competition. National statistics have shown that an ASP® Staged home sells 2 to 3 times faster than its non-Staged competition. WHY USE AN ASP® STAGER?
Accredited Staging Professionals (ASP®) are trained under strict guidelines using proven Staging techniques developed for over 30 years. When you hire an ASP® to stage your home, you will get a professional who will prepare your home inside and out transforming the property to have the largest market appeal for any potential buyer. ASP® Home Stagers work with home sellers and Realtors capitalizing on the property’s features with one ultimate goal in mind; to minimize the length of time on the market resulting in higher profits to the seller. What does Home Staging cost? We can provide a consultation for a minimal investment or provide full service implementation. The GLRIC chapter of ASP Stagers all customize each Staging Bid to fit your needs and the property. The ASP motto is “We can do as much or as little as you would like." ASP stagers provide the services that your budget allows ensuring that the money you do spend ends up in the right place for a quick and profitable sale. GLRIC ANNUAL EVENTS
(SPRING) PARADE OF STAGED HOMES
Every spring the GLRIC members showcase homes that they have Staged® throughout Southeast Michigan. 2009 will mark the 3rd annual Parade of Staged Homes event. The very first Parade event in 2007 was a huge success with over 50% of the featured homes SOLD! Out of those 50% sold within 30 days and the others within 3 months. 2008 also had great results and the numbers are still increasing. Visit www.paradeofstagedhomes.com to see the properties and their SOLD status. The event invites the general public to stop in and preview the homes without any appointment necessary. This is a great opportunity to learn more about home staging from the ASP® Stagers as well as connect with Realtors®. This team effort between the Stagers and Realtors ultimately sells houses more quickly in Southeast Michigan area due to the increased marketability. Anyone interested in finding a quality home for sale is encouraged to attend.
In addition, this event is also a fundraiser for the GLRIC’s annual charitable project with the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. See below for more details.
